I designed a macro pad using the XIAO RP2040 and participated in a contest called “Seeed Fusion DIY XIAO Mechanical Keyboard Contest”.

🏆What kind of contest?
The Seeed Fusion DIY XIAO Mechanical Keyboard Contest was a contest for DIY keyboards using the Seeed Studio XIAO series and ran from July 11 through October 11, 2022. The best entries will receive a $1000 coupon and a Seeed XIAO pillow.

⌨️What kind of keyboard?
Joker8 is a keyboard with the following features
●Macro pad with XIAO RP2040
The Pro Micro is often used in the DIY keyboard community, but this time I used the XIAO RP2040. I chose it this time because of its small size and the fact that it is equipped with RP2040.
The design for direct soldering to the board reduces thickness.
●Thin enough to carry in a card case
The height is reduced to a size that fits into a MUJI card case.
●Customize the appearance with dressing plates and masking tape
You can change the look of this macropad by replacing plate with a variety of different colors and patterns.
Masking tape (7 mm high) can be applied around the edge.
You can change the appearance of the design depending on your mood, or match it with the color of your fave.
🔧My impression of FusionPCB
The PCB ordering site is in Japanese and easy to understand. If you have ordered PCBs from other sites, you can use them without any difficulty.
This time, I ordered it in matte black + ENIG. It was very nicely finished and worked fine with no defects in particular.
